Drinking Water Renovation

IBB16® is a hybrid liner relining technique (without adhesion to the old pipe – Class A according to ISO 11295) that can be applied for the renovation of pressure pipelines. This technique is therefore particularly suitable for the rehabilitation of drinking water pipelines.

The system combines two liners with different properties to meet the required criteria.

  1. UV method: the first layer is a rigid laminate of glass fiber and polyester resin that provides the structural strength of the system. The lining is prefabricated, pulled into the pipe, inflated, and cured using UV light.
  2. Inversion method: the second layer is a thin and flexible felt liner with a fixed PE inner layer. The felt liner is impregnated with epoxy resin and installed using the inversion method, then cured with steam. This layer provides a smooth and very high-quality finish.
